Madiun, October 2024 - As one of Indonesia’s intangible cultural heritage recognized by UNESCO, batik has become a symbol of pride for the nation. In celebration of National Batik Day on October 2, 2024, Aston Madiun Hotel & Conference Center held a special event during their Mare-Mare All-You-Can-Eat buffet. The event was enlivened by a fashion show featuring the unique Batik Pecel from Madiun, as well as various exciting entertainments. This celebration not only promoted batik culture but also showed appreciation to the guests through live music performances and surprise door prizes for those who wore batik.
“Batik is not just clothing; it is a symbol of pride that represents our cultural identity. By wearing batik in our service today, we wanted to emphasize that batik can be worn in various situations, including when providing heartfelt service to our guests. We hope that through this event, we not only give our guests a delightful experience but also contribute to preserving the nation's culture,” said Reynaldy Setyo Nugroho, Marketing Communication Manager of Aston Madiun.
