Bandung, August 2024 —   Aston Pasteur Hotel hosted the Archipelago Chief Engineers Training Center on August 19, 2024. This event, a collaboration between Archipelago International and Aqua, focused on training and workshops related to the operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of air conditioning (AC) systems.

Representatives from over 10 hotels within the Archipelago network attended this event, aimed at enhancing the technical and managerial skills of chief engineers in managing AC systems at their respective units.

The event was opened by Mr. Ketut Wijaya, Corporate Chief Engineer of Archipelago, who emphasized the critical role of chief engineers in maintaining operational efficiency through optimal maintenance. "Air conditioning is one of the vital elements in hotel operations. Proper maintenance not only ensures guest comfort but also helps reduce long-term operational costs," said Mr. Ketut Wijaya.

Mr. Berry Naurika, Regional General Manager of Archipelago, also addressed the participants, highlighting the importance of enhancing technical competencies at every hotel unit. He encouraged participants to actively share their experiences and challenges encountered in daily operations.

From Aqua, Mr. Trie Irwanto, Technical Assistant Manager CAC, delivered an in-depth presentation on various technical aspects of air conditioning, covering everything from operation to troubleshooting. This material was designed to provide a comprehensive understanding of how to maintain AC performance at its best while anticipating potential issues.

Ms. Ni Ketut Diah Adihari, Assistant Manager B2B Aqua, also contributed to the workshop by providing insights on effective and efficient AC system maintenance. She stressed the importance of collaboration between hotel technical teams and service providers to maintain the quality of the equipment used.

A key session in this event was the sharing session, where chief engineers from various hotels discussed the challenges they face related to AC operation and maintenance. This discussion led to the development of practical solutions that can be implemented at their respective hotel units.
