INTRODUCING NUSANTARA CULINARY, ASTON INN PANDANARAN SEMARANG PRESENTS ARCHIPELAGO FOOD FESTIVAL
Semarang, August 2022 - Archipelago Food Festival is a culinary roadshow event held in several major cities in Indonesia involving 10 to 15 Hotel Executive Chefs from the largest hotel chain in Indonesia – Archipelago. On this occasion, it was held in Semarang.
As the capital city of Central Java, with various tourist destinations and famous culinary delights, Semarang City deserves to be promoted as a destination not to be missed. The purpose of holding the Archipelago Food Festival was to expose this city's culinary potential and introduce a variety of dishes typical of other regions in Indonesia to Semarang residents and potential hotel guests.
The 14th Archipelago Food Festival was held at ASTON Inn Pandanaran Semarang on August 6th, 2022. Attended by 11 chefs from Archipelago hotels in Semarang, Yogyakarta, Solo, and the Central Java area, the theme for this Archipelago Food Festival in Semarang was “Pesona Nusantara.” Served at the event were special culinary dishes from Semarang such as Babat Gongso, Tahu Gimbal Semarang, Ikan Mangut, and Nasi Ayam. Other region culinary dishes included Gulai Ikan Patin, Martabak Aceh from Sumatera, Nasi Kuning Banjarmasin, Sate Ayam Banjar from Kalimantan, Ayam Dangkot, Konro khas Makassar, Sate Lilit (Ayam& Ikan), and Bebek Betutu from Bali. In addition to numerous food menus, visitors at the Archipelago Food Festival were entertained with traditional Semarangan dances from Lakshita and Sanggar Greget and fashion shows by Batik Margaria and Alfath. And last but not least, this event featured a special live cooking demonstration from Ir. Hj. Hevearita Gunaryanti Rahayu, M.Sos. as Deputy Mayor of Semarang. In addition, ASTON Inn Pandanaran Semarang provided door prizes with some lucky guests winning vouchers to stay in one of Archipelago hotels.
