Jakarta, August 2022– To celebrate the 77th Independence Day of Indonesia, ASTON Priority Simatupang Hotel & Conference Center is promoting their activity program titled "Pesta Merdeka" during August 2022 with a series of themed events, Freedom from Hunger, Freedom from Disease, Freedom to Play and Learn, Freedom Holidays, and Freedom Festival.

1. Freedom from Hunger

ASTON Priority Simatupang Hotel & Conference Center introduces "Festival Kuliner Nusantara," a buffet lunch serving a wide range of authentic Indonesian dishes from 15 to 19 August 2022 from 12:00 to 14:00 WIB. Open to the public; guests can enjoy delicious dishes from various regions of Indonesia for only IDR 250,000 net per person. 

2. Freedom from Disease

Based on data from the World Health Organization (WHO), cervical cancer is the fourth most common cancer in women. In the 2020 study by WHO, the highest rate of people with cervical cancer in Southeast Asia is in Indonesia.

ASTON Priority Simatupang Hotel & Conference Center collaborated with Yayasan Kanker Sosial Indonesia (YANKASI) to hold a free medical seminar, "Cervical Cancer Knowledge and Prevention," on Tuesday, August 16, 2022, in the Jagakarsa meeting room at 10:00 am and provided free IVA tests.

The seminar was attended by hotel employees and women's communities surrounding the hotel to educate them on this life-threatening disease.

3. Freedom to Play and Learn

During August 2022, every Saturday and Sunday, ASTON Priority Simatupang Hotel & Conference provides a special area for children to learn how to decorate cupcakes with the theme "Cupcake Merdeka" located at Canary Terrace from 07:00 to 10:00. This activity will be guided directly by our hotel Chef. 

This interesting event can be a learning tool for children to increase their imagination and build self-confidence, and this event is given free of charge to guests staying at our hotel.

4. Freedom Holidays

City Holidays can be a great alternative as a destination for a fun family holiday, and even better without spending money! ASTON Priority Simatupang Hotel & Conference Center is giving away one "free stay" voucher for the winner of the "Freedom Holidays" Giveaway in August 2022.

The method is easy; participants who take part in the giveaway are required to follow the Instagram account @astonsimatupang, then give a like on the video reel upload "Freedom Holidays," and write down the reasons why you must win and your wishes for Indonesia by using the hashtag #PestaMerdeka #ASTONPrioritySimatupang.

5. Freedom Festival

On Wednesday, August 17, 2022, ASTON Priority Simatupang held a series of events and invited guests to participate in various competitions in the Canary Coffee Shop area. Starting with the singing together of the Indonesia Raya anthem at 10:17 am, it then continued with a fun quiz "Grebek Merdeka", flying a paper plane "Juang 45", eating cracker competition, and eating porridge with chopsticks competition.

Hotel staff at the event wore clothing with the theme of heroism in Indonesia and traditional clothes such as the red and white kebaya. This 4-star hotel also gave a door prize of a "free stay voucher" to lucky guests who actively participated in these competitions.
