Jakarta, February 2024 – Everyone looks forward to a long weekend holiday, especially when it comes to the Chinese New Year celebrations. Various events and activities related to Chinese culture could be found in various places, one of which was at the ASTON Priority Simatupang Hotel & Conference Center.
Celebrating Chinese New Year, ASTON Priority Simatupang Hotel & Conference Center held an oriental-themed cupcake decorating class by making an icon of Chinese culture. This class was specifically for children aged 4 - 12 years and held in the Pool Terrace area of the Canary restaurant at the ASTON Priority Simatupang Hotel & Conference Center, on Saturday, at 10:00 am. Decorating cupcakes using fondant is not just fun, it covers the imperfect texture of the cupcake, beautifies its appearance, increases the taste of the cupcake by making it sweeter, shows the character of the cupcake itself with an adjusted shape, and increases the visual appeal. During this Chinese New Year celebration, cupcakes were decorated to resemble traditional Chinese firecrackers, traditional Chinese clothes, Mandarin oranges, gold, Meihua flowers, and so on. This activity was also useful for children to develop their senses, increase concentration and creativity, and get to know various kinds of tastes.
"In accordance with our commitment as a child-friendly hotel, the ASTON Priority Simatupang Hotel & Conference Center has routinely held various programs for children's activities, one of which is The Little Chef. This time, to celebrate Chinese New Year, we represented it with an Oriental Cupcake Decorating activity, with the hope that children can enjoy their time here with educational activities and provide a memorable experience." said Andi Gevika Rizki, General Manager of ASTON Priority Simatupang Hotel.
