Kuta, December 2023 – Chef Muhammad Anwar, who has recently joined ASTON Kuta Hotel & Residence, has achieved success in the Archipelago Black Box Battle.

Archipelago International hosted the 5th Black Box Competition at Quest Hotel San Denpasar on Thursday, December 14, 2023, where 11 Executive Chefs and 9 F&B Leaders from Bali & Mataram showcased their culinary skills. The concept was to create unique dishes and beverages using mysterious ingredients from a black box, all within a one-hour time limit.

In the intense competition of the Archipelago Black Box Battle, Chef Anwar presented his unique creation, blending traditional flavors with a modern touch: "Ayam Betutu Ubi Ungu with Sayur Pakis". This creation secured the first-place victory, earning Chef Anwar the Charles Brookfield Trophy (Chairman of Archipelago International). The second place in the Food Battle went to Hotel Neo Denpasar, followed by Harper Kuta in third place.
