Kuta, October 2023 – Tuesday, October 17, 2023, the Ministry of Manpower of the Republic of Indonesia awarded national recognition for Efforts in Respecting, Protecting, and Fulfilling the Rights of People with Disabilities in an Inclusive Work Environment (Upaya Penghormatan, Pelindungan, dan Pemenuhan Hak Penyandang Disabilitas di Dunia Kerja Inklusif) to ASTON Kuta Hotel & Residence, one of the hotels under Archipelago International. This award is given in acknowledgment of the company's efforts to create inclusive, fair, and diverse employment opportunities.

The issue of disabilities has become an international concern as a cross-cutting issue and has resulted in the G20 2022 Action Plan. Therefore, the Ministry of Manpower of the Republic of Indonesia is committed to promoting inclusive, fair, and sustainable employment, providing vocational training to harness job opportunities and digital skills transformation according to the needs of the labor market, increasing the participation of the disabled workforce in the job market, and providing entrepreneurial opportunities for people with disabilities who do not fit into the formal job market.

Upon receiving this award, Mr. Putu Yuliartawan, Executive Assistant Manager, representing ASTON Kuta Hotel & Residence, said, "We are very pleased and proud to receive this award as recognition of our commitment to creating an inclusive and fair working environment for everyone. We believe that every individual has unlimited potential, and we are proud to have a diverse team."

Yuli Arianthini, one of the employees of ASTON Kuta Hotel & Residence who has been working for 6 years as an Order Taker, said, "I have had a physical disability since birth, but I receive the same treatment as other staff and I am provided with adequate facilities that make my work here easier."

Disabilities do not act as barriers for them to achieve their dreams, and it is hoped that Indonesian companies will start to open up bigger job opportunities and creative possibilities for people with disabilities.
