Pontianak, June 2023 - Ahead of Eid al-Adha 1444 H, ASTON Pontianak Hotel & Convention Center together with Transera Hotel Pontianak, which is part of Transera Group, handed over sacrificial animals to various places on Tuesday, June 27, 2023. A number of management from ASTON Pontianak Hotel & Convention Center and Transera Hotel Pontianak directly handed over 6 goats estimated to weigh 20 to 22 kg. The targeted places were As-Salam Mosque located at Jalan Budi Karya and Sirajul Islam Mosque located at Jalan Merdeka. Routinely every year, ASTON Pontianak Hotel & Convention Center together with Transera Group always distributes Qurban Animals. This year, the goats were personally handed over by Udik Setiadi, the General Manager of Transera Hotel, and several management members from both hotels. The sacrificial animals were received directly by the administrators of Masjid Sirajul Islam and Masjid As-Salam.
"It has become our annual obligation to commemorate Eid al-Adha by contributing sacrificial animals as an expression of gratitude to Allah SWT, sharing with others, and as a company's CSR program. The mosques we selected are the closest to the locations of several business units within the Transera Group," said Arifin, the Public Relations representative of ASTON Pontianak.
In line with this, Udik Setiadi as General Manager of Transera Hotel added that commemorating Eid al-Adha by sacrificing is expected to be a moment of change so that we can care more about others. "Qurbani contains humanitarian values in the form of caring for others and starting from the community closest to us. We hope that every year we can distribute qurbani animals and increase, amin" he said.
Khairul Anwar, an administrator of Masjid Sirajul Islam, warmly welcomed and appreciated ASTON Pontianak and Transera Hotel for regularly donating sacrificial animals at their mosque. "We are very grateful for their willingness to provide sacrificial animals, and hopefully, this contribution will bring blessings to the company and the surrounding community," he added.
