Archipelago International, as the largest hotel operator in Asia, has undertaken several initiatives to remain at the forefront of innovation, as well as to increase work motivation in the workplace, and to further develop its own potential.

Because of this, the ASTON inn Jemursari hosted a Housekeeping Boot Camp 2023 with the theme Small Steps, Continuous Improvement, Immaculate Result. Winston Hanes, Vice President of Operations at Archipelago International, organized the event, which included Arya Pering, Regional General Manager, Novia Agustin, Corporate Executive Housekeeper, Hamida Bachri, Corporate Executive Housekeeper, Fajrin Rizky Septiadi, Corporate Assistant Housekeeper, and Noor Yatim, Corporate Senior Purchasing Manager.

The event, which took place over three days from June 7th to June 9th, 2023, consisted of three activities. On the first day, there was a welcoming event and a welcome dinner for all participants. During this occasion, male participants donned traditional Madura pesa'an clothes, while female participants wore traditional Madurese clothes such as Kebaya Rancongan and Aghungan.

The debriefing session featured motivational speeches from Winston Hanes and Arya Pering, representing the Leadership field, as well as presentations on the vision and mission of the Housekeeper profession by Novia Agustin, Hamida Bachri, and Fajrin Rizki Septiadi.

The final activity on the agenda was an Outbound and Team Building session at Pekalen Rafting Adventure in Probolinggo. A total of 63 hotels from the Central and East regions participated in this engaging activity.

In the next 3 days, you will learn many things from great sources in their fields, and you should use them in the work you love. Bring happiness and joy to your respective hotels after this extraordinary event.” said Winston Hanes, Vice President of Operations Archipelago International, in the event's opening session.

During the material presentation on the second day, awards were presented in the category of High Evaluation Survey. ASTON Kupang Hotel & Convention Center emerged as the winner, while favehotel Madiun and favehotel Langko Mataram secured the second and third positions, respectively. In the High Semantic Review category, the accolade was bestowed upon The Alana Hotel & Conference Center Malioboro, with Harper Perintis Makassar and ASTON Samarinda Hotel & Convention Center taking the second and third places, respectively.
