Having physical limitations is not an obstacle for people with disabilities to carry out activities. ASTON Sidoarjo City Hotel & Conference Center became the venue for activities initiated by the D-LINK Project to hold Batik Ciprat training which was attended by 7 people with disabilities and 7 assistants. This activity was held at Kayana Restaurant on 3rd and 4th March, 2023.

This activity aims to facilitate and empower disability groups in the field of entrepreneurship and employment. Through this activity, the participants proved that physical deficiencies are not a limitation to continue working. Participants who took part in the Batik Ciprat class were people with disabilities who have sensory, physical, intellectual, and mental disabilities.

The process of making Ciprat Batik consists of several stages. First coat the fabric with colored wax liquid. Then wait for the fabric to dry, then you can splash the wax liquid using brushes and sticks. "By splashing the wax solution onto cotton sheets, it is easier for participants to express their creativity. Especially for people with mental disabilities, they can express their emotions through this Batik Ciprat," said Edy Cahyono, as the founder of Rumah Kinasih Foundation. "This is a new experience for me, it's exciting and can be an inspiration for further creativity," said Made, one of the participants.

The entire series of activities is funded by the Australian government. This is to share knowledge and experience and strengthen the relationship between Indonesia and Australia. "Regarding this batik ciprat training activity, with the hope that we can build the independence of friends with disabilities through social activities like this," said Abdul Majid as a member of the Australia Global Alumni.

This activity aims to be a forum for people with disabilities to create business fields and unleash their creative potential. The D-Link Project program was included in the 25 best proposals and received full funding through the Australian government through the Alumni Grant Scheme / 2022 AGS Round 02 grant scheme administered by Australia Award Indonesia or AAI.
