ARCHIPELAGO INTERNATIONAL SHARE KNOWLEDGE AT ASTON INN JEMURSARI
Surabaya, March 15, 2023 - As many as 44 students from Vocational High Schools in various regions such as Gresik, Lamongan, and Surabaya participated in the Sharing Session with the theme Expert Talks - Food & Kitchen Safety Procedure with speakers from Corporate Archipelago International namely Chef Denny Frederick as Corporate Archipelago International's Executive Chef and Bintang Watjana as Archipelago International's Corporate Chief Engineer.
The event took place at the Juliet Rose Sky Lounge from 10 am to 1 pm and started with all participants and speakers singing the Indonesian National Anthem. Opened by Iwan Setiawan, General Manager of Aston inn Jemursari, the event was full of knowledge about Food & Beverage, especially Kitchen and Kitchen Safety, and also included a question and answer session, starting from the correct way to cook chicken meat to the recommended method of storing food to avoid contamination from other food in the refrigerator. Moreover, one of the supervising teachers at the event asked many interesting questions about the importance of safety in operating the stove and having a Light Fire Extinguisher, commonly known as APAR.
'By participating in exciting activities and learning lots of important information like today, I realized the importance of cleanliness and safety in the food processing area. Also, the safety factor in operating the stove used daily and cleanliness are the main elements I'll remember,' said Nuraidah or Ida from Lamongan Vocational High School.
On the sidelines of the event, a door prize distribution session was also held for participants who could answer questions about the material presented by the two speakers with attractive prizes such as merchandise and vouchers for breaking the fast at Aston inn Jemursari.
'We will continue to carry out activities like this because apart from being an introductory program about Kitchen Safety, it is also a motivation for the younger generation, our next successors with high visions and dreams that will be achieved by studying and working hard,' said Denny Frederick, Corporate Executive Chef of Archipelago International.
