Jakarta, 25 November 2022 – Meat & Livestock Australia (MLA) together with the 5-star Hotel Archipelago Group initiated the South East Asia Six Hands Lambassador event to promote the consumption of Australian lamb among Indonesian consumers by raising awareness of the excellent taste, quality and goodness of Australian lamb.
The South East Asia Six Hands Lambassador, which will take place from 26 November to 3 December 2022, will showcase the versatility of Australian lamb through the culinary collaboration of 3 different chefs from 3 different countries, including Indonesia. The global Lambassador Program features influential food professionals, who are passionate about cooking with Australian lamb, to share the best methods to enjoy Australian lamb. The campaign is driven by MLA and also part of the Aussie Lamb brand to deliver the best Australian lamb to the world.This will be the first time the 3 chefs from the SEA region to come and collaborate to promote Australian lamb and engage directly with the customers for greater impact. Indonesian Chef A.S. Windoe will collaborate with Vietnamese Chef Francis Thuan and Thai Chef Yakup T. on a South East Asia Six Hands Lambassador event menu promotion at The Grove Suites, Jakarta under the 5-star Hotel Archipelago Group.
The appointment of Chef A.S. Windoe, Corporate Chef for Archipelago (West Area), as Indonesia’s Chef Lambassador reflects his rich experience and expertise in developing local dishes using Australian lamb in the Archipelago Group. His expertise in Australian lamb was built through joining MLA’s workshop and training in Indonesia, as well as a trip to Australia that gave him a better appreciation of Australian lamb from farm to table. In addition, the trip also provided him with the opportunity to exchange ideas with chefs from other countries and create synergy to promote Australian lamb.

During the promotion period, all three menus will be available for dining. Diners can expect lamb dishes prepared in different culinary styles. Crusted Lamb Rack menu a la Chef A.S. Windoe (from Indonesia) while Chef Francis Thuan (from Vietnam) will prepare Lamb Shoulder Rack, and Khao Soi Lamb Shank from Chef Yakup T. (from Thailand).
