Jakarta, October 2022 - After the very successful sushi cooking class held on September 24, 2022, ASTON Priority Simatupang, once again, organized a sushi class combined with Japanese cultural education for a significantly increased number of children.
In collaboration with one of the children's organizations, Playdate Indonesia, this class was held on Sunday, October 16, 2022, and will be featured again on November 13, 2022, with a limited number of forty participants. Not just a cooking class, this class also teaches origami and how to make a Chef's hat out of paper, gets the kids moving with some dancing, gives an introduction to the history of sushi and how to eat in a traditional Japanese way, and teaches about Japanese cultural values. Participants who attended also wore traditional Japanese clothing to bring an authentic Japanese feeling to the event.
Japan is recognized worldwide for its unique customs, culture, and fantastic food. It is no surprise the level of interest shown by the children and their parents in learning the greatness of Japanese culture at ASTON Priority Simatupang.
“This is the second time we have held this successful class, and we often hold activities like this due to the high demand and interest from the community. Not just for holidays, staying in hotels gives an educational experience for families,” commented Andi Gevika Rizki, General Manager of ASTON Priority Simatupang Hotel & Conference Center.
