12 years ago, on October 10, 2010, ASTON Pontianak was officially opened. It has provided a lot of experience and training for its staff, welcomed numerous guests, and contributed to advancing the hotel business in Pontianak City during its 12 years of operation.

As we all know, the hospitality world has been dramatically affected by the Covid-19 pandemic in the previous two years. Many hotels ceased operating and were forced to lay off their employees. ASTON Pontianak was also affected but is grateful to have gotten through these difficult times, and at the age of twelve, ASTON Pontianak launched their new and exciting theme, "Rise."

"We are very grateful that the pandemic will end soon, and this signals that it is time for the hospitality business to rise," said Anto W. Soemartono, General Manager of ASTON Pontianak. "This moment of awakening certainly cannot be separated from the efforts and innovations made during the difficult pandemic times. All elements were involved, such as employees, owners, and guests who appreciated how ASTON Pontianak implemented strict health protocols," he added.

Anto W. Soemartono expressed his gratitude to all guests, customers, and business partners who have worked and been loyal to ASTON Pontianak during these past twelve years. "Let's rise together by constantly innovating and synergizing to achieve what has been targeted, just as ASTON Pontianak always prioritizes excellent service, starting from the heart," he added.

Various events were held to mark and celebrate the 12th Anniversary of ASTON Pontianak, ranging from a media gathering with a fun cooking challenge, CSR activities, namely a blood donation, visits to an Al-Haq Orphanage, environmental care activities by holding general cleaning and mangrove planting and employee activities with a PES competition and water polo.
