Semarang, August 16, 2024 — In celebration of the 79th Independence Day of the Republic of Indonesia, Aston Inn Pandanaran Semarang is participating by providing tumpeng to the local community and the Pekunden Village as part of the Tirakatan ceremony, held on the night of August 16, in anticipation of August 17.

 

In commemoration of Indonesia's independence, a tradition in Indonesian society, particularly in Semarang, is to hold a Tirakatan event on the evening before August 17, as a tribute to the heroes who fought for the nation and as an expression of gratitude for the independence of the Republic of Indonesia, which this year celebrates its 79th anniversary. The purpose of this event is to foster unity and togetherness in celebrating Indonesia's independence. On this occasion, representatives from Aston Inn Pandanaran Semarang, including Mr. Ibnoe Ichwan Chambali, General Manager, Chef Ganjar, Executive Chef, MOD (Manager on Duty), and Krisdiar Porandito, Marketing Communication, participated by personally delivering five tumpeng cones to the local community and Pekunden Village, which were received by the Pekunden Village Head, Mr. Bagas Yuwono Ario Negoro S.STP MM, to share and enjoy the significance of Indonesia’s struggle for independence.

 

“We are grateful to be able to carry out this annual routine activity in 2024. This event is a manifestation of our commitment to maintaining good relations and solidarity with the community around the hotel, as we send tumpeng in celebration of Indonesia’s Independence Day, this year providing five tumpeng cones,” said Ibnoe Ichwan Chambali, General Manager of Aston Inn Pandanaran Semarang.
