Semarang, August 10, 2024 – The month of August marks the celebration of Indonesia's Independence Day, which this year reaches its 79th anniversary. Aston Inn Pandanaran Semarang had the opportunity to visit the Indonesian Navy's warship KAL Pulau Menjangan.

On Thursday, August 8, 2024, the Heads of Department, led by Mr. Ibnoe Ichwan Chambali, General Manager of Aston Inn Pandanaran Semarang, visited the Indonesian Navy's warship KAL Pulau Manjangan at Tanjung Mas port. The purpose of this management visit was to establish goodwill and conduct photo and video taking for the Independence Day greeting of the Republic of Indonesia. During the visit, Mr. Ibnoe Ichwan Chambali, along with other Heads of Department, was warmly welcomed by Letda Laut Alamsyah, representing the Commander of KAL Pulau Menjangan, and his staff. In addition to taking photos and videos, the management team of Aston Inn Pandanaran Semarang and the crew of KAL Pulau Menjangan also engaged in friendly conversations while enjoying some refreshments.

This year, the management chose to visit the Indonesian Navy's warship KAL Pulau Menjangan not only to establish goodwill and take Independence Day photos and videos but also to show the public that we care about the Indonesian Navy, especially those who have served to protect Indonesia's sovereignty at sea. As the world's largest archipelago nation, we want to foster a sense of care and love for the sea within the community so that they can help protect it.

“This year's Indonesian Independence Day theme is once again focused on the military because we know that the Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI), which originated from the people, have played a significant role in safeguarding the sovereignty of the Republic of Indonesia. What makes this year even more special is that we were able to visit the warship KAL Pulau Menjangan, allowing the management team to learn about and experience what it's like to be on a warship of the Indonesian Navy,” said Ibnoe Ichwan Chambali, General Manager of Aston Inn Pandanaran Semarang.
