Gresik, 19 June 2024 - Precious Moment: Aston Gresik Hotel & Conference Center Holds Cooking Class and Fun Activities with SLB Autis Harapan Bangsa.

To support social inclusion and provide valuable experiences for children with special needs, Aston Gresik Hotel & Conference Center organized a unique and inspiring Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) event. This event took place in the Meeting Room of Aston Gresik Hotel & Conference Center and was attended by 15 special needs children from SLB Autis Harapan Bangsa along with their companions.

During this CSR activity, the special needs children participated in a "Cooking Class - Making Strawberry Bread" aimed at providing an educational and enjoyable experience for them. Under the direct guidance of Chef Petrus, the Executive Chef of Aston Gresik Hotel & Conference Center, the children were introduced to various food ingredients, basic cooking techniques, and ways to present attractive dishes. Besides the Cooking Class, the children also engaged in a Storytelling session and created party crowns, led by the Read a Loud Community, a professional storyteller. In this session, the children listened to inspiring stories that taught positive values, enhanced their imagination, and helped them interact better with their surroundings.

To conclude the series of joyful activities, the children were taken for a ride on the Kidzilla train around Gressmall Gresik. This activity provided an opportunity for the special needs children to socialize, interact with the outside environment, and enjoy new, delightful experiences.

"Through this activity, the children not only learned to cook but also developed social skills and increased their confidence. We hope this event will provide positive experiences that help the special needs children become more confident and able to interact with their surroundings," said S. Paminta Nugraha, General Manager of Aston Gresik Hotel & Conference Center.

One of the accompanying teachers from SLB Autis Harapan Bangsa expressed gratitude to Aston Gresik Hotel & Conference Center for the opportunity given to their students. "The children enjoyed every moment. This activity not only provided new experiences but also helped the children to be more confident," she said.
