ASTON MANADO HOTEL DONATES TO ERUPTION REFUGEES OF MOUNT RUANG

Manado, May 24, 2024 - Aston Manado Hotel has shown its care and solidarity towards the community affected by the eruption of Mount Ruang in Tagulandang District, Sitaro Islands Regency, by donating toiletries, underwear, and towels to the refugees. The donation was handed over through the Border and Community Protection Agency (BPMP) Pineleng, which provides evacuation locations for the disaster victims.

 

The recent eruption of Mount Ruang has forced hundreds of residents to leave their homes and seek shelter in safer places. As part of the North Sulawesi community, Aston Manado Hotel feels compelled to contribute to easing the burden of the refugees by providing essential needs.

 

Aston Manado Hotel’s General Manager, Mr. I Nyoman Bandisa Sastika, stated, "We are deeply concerned about the situation faced by our brothers and sisters in Tagulandang District. Through this donation, we hope to provide some comfort and help them through this difficult time. We also want to express our appreciation to BPMP Pineleng for their efforts in providing evacuation sites and outstanding coordination."

 

This donation is expected to meet the basic needs of the refugees and help them maintain hygiene and health while in the evacuation sites.
