Semarang, March 18, 2025 – The series of social activities (CSR) organized by the management of Aston Inn Pandanaran Semarang has been ongoing since February 28, 2025. As it reaches its conclusion, the management distributed Eid gift packages to parking attendants and security personnel and wrapped up the event by inviting children from Al Idris and Nur Hidayah orphanages to stay for one night at the hotel.
The event began with the distribution of Eid gift packages to parking attendants and security personnel, handed over directly by the management, represented by Mrs. Anggita Sekar Naomi from Human Resources and the SSA team. As the highlight of the Nostalgic Ramadan CSR series, we invited children from two orphanages, Nur Hidayah and Al Idris. This social initiative is an annual tradition and program organized by the management in collaboration with IZI (Inisiatif Zakat Indonesia) and, this year, with the Vespa community (Move).
The event started at 14:00 when children from Nur Hidayah and Al Idris orphanages arrived at the hotel and were warmly welcomed by the management team representatives. They gathered at Al Fitri Mosque on the 5th floor and were then taken on a room tour guided by the operations team to explain the facilities and their usage in the rooms. Afterward, they performed the Asr prayer in congregation at Al Fitri Mosque.
During Ngabuburit (pre-iftar activity) with the Vespa community (Move), the children were taken on a city tour around Semarang on Vespas, escorted by the police. Around 30 Vespa scooters cruised through the city with the orphanage children, starting from Aston Inn Pandanaran Semarang. Their faces radiated joy and excitement after experiencing the Vespa ride together.
After the city tour, the event continued in the ballroom, opened by Mrs. Yuliani Krisharyati, Executive Assistant Manager, followed by Mr. Fajar Firmansyah, Chairman of Move Semarang, and Mr. Mauldelino, Chairman of Move for Central Java and Yogyakarta. The orphanage children then enjoyed a storytelling session about the prophets' stories and acts of devotion to Allah SWT. This was followed by iftar (breaking the fast), Maghrib prayer, Isha prayer, Tarawih, and Quran recitation (Tadarus), concluding at 21:00.
At 03:00 AM, the orphanage children performed Tahajjud prayer and had Sahur (pre-dawn meal) on the rooftop before joining the Fajr prayer in congregation. After a short rest, it was time for them to check out, and the event concluded with a farewell led by Mr. Ibnoe Ichwan Chambali, General Manager of Aston Inn Pandanaran Semarang.
The children were enthusiastic and enjoyed a new experience of spending a night at Aston Inn Pandanaran Semarang and savoring delicious iftar and sahur meals. As Aisyah, one of the orphanage children, said, "I am happy to stay at the hotel, enjoy the delicious iftar and sahur meals, and have a new experience because this is my first time staying in a hotel."
"With gratitude, Alhamdulillah, we were able to successfully organize the Nostalgic Ramadan CSR series during this holy month of Ramadan. The event ended on a happy note by inviting 30 orphanage children from two different orphanages to stay at the hotel. Additionally, we are delighted to collaborate again with IZI and, this year, with the Vespa community (Move)," said Ibnoe Ichwan Chambali, General Manager of Aston Inn Pandanaran Semarang.
