Pontianak, March 3, 2025 – In the spirit of sharing joy during the holy month of Ramadan, Aston Pontianak Hotel & Convention Center held a CSR Iftar Gathering with children from Al-Kautsar Orphanage on 3 March 2025 at Majesty Poolside. The event, hosted at the hotel, was filled with warmth and togetherness, attended by Aston Pontianak employees and special guests.

The event began with a brief religious sermon (tausiyah) before breaking the fast, delivering inspiring messages about the meaning of Ramadan and the importance of sharing with others. Afterward, the children enjoyed a delightful Nusantara-style iftar meal, specially prepared by Aston Pontianak’s culinary team. As a gesture of care and support, Aston Pontianak also provided donations to the children of Al-Kautsar Orphanage, hoping to bring happiness and blessings to them during this sacred month.

General Manager of Aston Pontianak, Anto W. Soemartono, stated, “Ramadan is a month of blessings and togetherness. We are honored to share this joyful moment with the children of Al-Kautsar Orphanage. May this event bring benefits and inspire more people to continue giving.”

One of the orphanage children, Zaidan, expressed his gratitude, saying, “I’m so happy to have iftar at the hotel with my friends. The food was delicious, and we also received donations. Thank you to Aston Pontianak for inviting us. May everyone here receive Ramadan’s blessings.”  Through this event, Aston Pontianak hopes to continue contributing to the community and fostering meaningful togetherness during the holy month of Ramadan.
