Jember, February 27, 2025 – Aston Jember once again demonstrated its commitment to improving community health awareness by organizing a blood donation event in collaboration with the Indonesian Red Cross (PMI) Jember Branch. The event, held on February 26, 2025, is part of a regular program conducted every 3 months, reflecting Aston Jember's tangible support for blood supply needs in Jember and its surrounding areas. In addition to the blood donation, the event also featured free eye check-ups provided by WG Optic Jember. This added value for attendees, who not only participated in a humanitarian cause but also received additional health services free of charge. The event, which ran from 03:00 to 16:00 WIB, received an overwhelmingly positive response from the community. The enthusiasm of Jember residents was evident as they filled the venue to donate blood. According to the committee's data, over 35 blood bags were collected during the event, which will be distributed to those in need through PMI Jember. “We highly appreciate the support and participation of the Jember community in this event. Blood donation not only benefits the recipients but also the donors, as it promotes good health. Our collaboration with PMI Jember and WG Optic Jember has further enriched the significance of this event,” said Wahyu Ari Saputro, General Manager. In addition to the blood donation, the event also offered free eye check-ups by WG Optic Jember. Dozens of participants took advantage of this service to have their eye health checked for free.
This blood donation and free eye check-up event is part of Aston Jember's Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program, which focuses on health. Through this initiative, Aston Jember hopes to continue contributing to improving the quality of life for the people of Jember. “We are committed to holding similar events regularly every 3 months. This is part of our social responsibility to the Jember community and an effort to support PMI in maintaining blood supply availability,” added Wahyu Ari Saputro. The event concluded with a symbolic handover of blood bags from Aston Jember to PMI Jember, as a gesture of appreciation for the successful collaboration.
